bennu heron: Show me the evidence

I have heard that the prehistoric extinct Bennu Heron,(scientific name: Ardea bennuides) could be the basis for the Egyptian mythical Bennu phoenix. But I have not found any evidence on the Internet that this extinct species of bird ever existed beyond a footnote in the Wikipedia article of the Egyptian mythical bird.
Someone should have fossil bones and eggs of this bird. And there should be reputable scientific articles and research about how this extinct species of heron (related to the purple heron and great blue heron) lived. Where is the evidence?
